Service Opportunities

At Westminster Christian Church, we encourage all of our members to employ their gifts and talents to serve God and His people both inside and outside of the walls of our church! Here are just a few of the ways that you can participate with us.

  • A Precious Child

A Precious Child provides children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. Please donate your gently-used clothing for children and families living in poverty right here in Colorado by. A donation bin is located in the church's narthex.

  • CASA

CASA is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that trains and supervises community volunteers to represent the best interests of our most vulnerable citizens - child victims of physical, sexual or emotional abuse and neglect. • City of Westminster Adopt-a-Street

The City of Westminster Adopt-A-Street Program was instituted in 1989. Volunteer groups pick up litter along a one-mile section of roadway for a one-year period. This popular program has continued to grow throughout the years.

Westminster Christian Church's Adopt-a-Street is located on 104th in between Sheridan and Federal. Join us on the first Saturday of every month at 9:00 am to pick up litter!

  • CROP Hunger Walk

CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Services and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world.

The next CROP Walk will be in October. Keep your eyes open for more information!

  • Denver Rescue Mission

The Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens. Click here to learn about ways you can volunteer at the Denver Rescue Mission.

  • Have A heart

Have A Heart is a non-profit organization that serves the needs of school age children and their families in Westminster Public Schools. Their mission is to give students a better chance at a good education by providing for the basic needs of them and their families.

Join us for a service project at Have a Heart on the fourth Saturday of every month. We serve from 7:30-10:30 am.

  • Ministry Teams

We have five ministry teams that are responsible for carrying out the week-to-week work of the church. Those teams are: Christian Education, Evangelism and Missions, Membership, Property, and Worship. Each team meets once a month and are open to anyone who would like to join them. You can learn more about our Ministry Teams by clicking here!

  • Worship Volunteers

We are always looking for people to help lead worship services! Check out the sign up sheet in this week's bulletin to see how you can get involved.
